Two men rode off on electric bikes after an attempted burglary at a Tesco in Oswaldtwistle, on Boxing Day.
The thieves targeted the supermarket, off Union Road, at around 9pm.
Two men were seen breaking into the store. When the police arrived they escaped on electric bikes.
A police spokesperson said: “For some people these festive times are opportunity to go and commit crime by breaking into other people homes and businesses as well as cars.
“We had an attempt burglary at Tesco store, off Union Road in Oswaldtwistle, last night (December 26) at around 9pm.
“Two males were seen breaking into store where one brave resident saw this and reported it to us. Upon police arrival these two individuals made off on electric bikes.
“Unfortunately we have not apprehended these individuals they are still at large.
“If you saw or heard anything please report it on 101 by stating log LC-20231226-1128.”
