A Burnley mum, who has been hailed as Lancashire’s very own ‘Mrs Claus’, has decorated her house for Christmas and videos of the process have gone viral on TikTok.
Sally Jacks, who lives in the Ightenhill area, says it takes days to completely decorate her home and says many people often drive by in order to admire her outdoor decorations.
She said: “We have so many people driving by to look out the house, and not just at Christmas. We decorate the house for Halloween and other occasions.”
The festivities continue outside and a video of her candy cane-themed Christmas tree has amassed more than 340,000 views on TikTok.

In the video, Sally can be seen decorating her tree with candy canes, feathers, snowflakes, a rocking horse, and other fun and festive decorations.
Sally said: “I haven’t been very consistent on TikTok but when I put up a video about my Christmas tree decorations it went absolutely bonkers.
“It made me laugh when I saw the videos getting such a good reception online. I was thinking ‘why has that video in particular gone viral?’
“My tree used to be quite classy, with a woodland theme. I changed it when my son came home and said the tree looked really boring.”
The tree alone takes Sally around four hours to complete. The lounge can take a full day and Sally says this year’s indoor and outdoor decorations took three weekends to completely finish.
Sally, who recently launched a travel company called Sally Jacks Travel, estimates that there are thousands of pounds worth of decorations on her Christmas but says she has not spent anyway near this after buying decorations earlier in the year, at heavily discounted prices.
Many decorations, such as Sally’s wreath, are homemade.
She said: “I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess at how much I have spent on decorations but when people look at it, it would look like I have spent quite a few thousand pounds on my tree.
“I won’t have spent that much as so many of the ornaments were purchased at a discounted price.
“You have to get in the sales – that is the best time to go. You just have to look around and you shouldn’t be out buying now when everything is expensive.”
Sally, former presenter on shopping channel Ideal World, said she loves Christmas and loved ones have even nicknamed her Mrs Claus.
She hosts a Christmas party each year, complete with fireworks and chocolate giveaways.
Sally, who was a singer in pop band Bucks Fizz in the 90s, said: “I have always loved Christmas and love the magic. I know it’s a difficult time for some so I try and bring joy.
