Together Housing Group is in the middle of a total revamp of Blackburn's Shadsworth Estate.
Tired old housing is being demolished and replaced with new properties and a brand new youth hub built.
The main Shadsworth Park off Rothesay Road is also to be refurbished.
Now Together Housing have revealed details and images of the first part of that park upgrade in a planning application to Blackburn with Darwen Council.
The proposal is for land bounded by Dunoon Drive, Bute Road, and the Shadsworth Hub, Rothesay Road, Blackburn
The application is for 'improvements to Shadsworth Park including reinstatement of the play area, refurbishment of multi-use games area with improved surfacing and replacement fencing, improvements to the existing skate area with refurbished skate ramps, a new skate park and pump track, informal seating platforms and associated landscaping'.
Frances Clarke, assistant director of place shaping for Together Housing, said: "The recent submission of our exciting plans for Shadsworth park will lead us towards the next steps of our wider investment into the area.
"During our conversations with residents, the future of the park was raised to us the most which is why we've dedicated a specialist team through our partnership with Place Capital Group to create a bespoke design for the space.
"We shared these designs with the public and stakeholders over the course of our consultation events and we're eager to make them a reality for the community.
"We know the park means a lot to families in Shadsworth which is why it is a key part of our place shaping investment and will complement the future plans we have for Shadsworth Hub too."
In February Together Housing applied for planning permission for the new single-storey youth hub describing it as a 'a low-rise, simple building providing flexible space to be used for youth provision and some community use to rear of Shadsworth Hub, Rothesay Road, Blackburn'.
The social housing group promised at the time that the park would undergo improvements with the popular multi-use games area retained and areas created for younger children's play, sensory gardens, games area, equipment and skate/scoot areas.
A terrace will connect the park to the proposed new youth hub.
