A man was caught behind the wheel of a car just four months after he had been disqualified.
Blackburn magistrates heard Iblal Razaq claimed he had only got behind the wheel when his friend, who owned the car, was taken ill.
Razaq, 38, of Albert Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 20 days rehabilitation activity requirement including the Drive Wise course and 200 hours unpaid work.
He was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £114 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
