In searching through the archives, we came across this unusual photograph from 1962.
On the left you can see what remained of the former Victoria Brewery off Montague Street in Blackburn.
The brewery had been operated by Thomas Whewell although it closed in 1925 with the building subsequently being used by others businesses.
We have no idea who the man gazing out of the window is. Perhaps he was living in one of the properties which were being built at the bottom of Montague Street as part of a redevelopment plan which saw the brewery tower demolished.
