A Burnley networking group is celebrating after passing a £2.5million milestone for the second year running.

Members of BNI Kudos, which meets every Thursday morning at Prairie Sports Village, generated £2,496,817 worth of business for each other in the last 12 months.

The business referral organisation has more than 300,000 members in 77 countries. The group comes together weekly to combine their network of contacts to find business opportunities and referrals for one another.

BNI Kudos Chapter president Mark Irlam said: “BNI has a transformational impact for its members who come into it with the right attitude. The whole organisation works worldwide by tapping into a natural instinct humans have to help one another.

“Its trademarked slogan is Givers Gain, and that’s exactly what it’s all about. Our members’ success comes from their commitment to helping one another, and our systems are entirely built on encouraging and facilitating an altruistic approach to business – if you help me, I’ll want to help you.

“That successful ethos is shown in these figures and all the members of BNI Kudos can be rightly proud of applying the proven approach for mutual success.

“BNI itself has undergone many changes in recent years. We’ve updated our systems and introduced new technologies that mean BNI members are now better connected with peers across the globe than ever before.

“We have such a fantastic community now, my message is, if you’ve never tried BNI, come along and see what we’re about. If you haven’t tried it for a while, come along and see what’s changed. Our doors are always open to people who want to prosper and grow through a teamwork approach to building their business.”
