Darwen committee volunteers are hosting a Christmas coffee morning for charity.
The charity event is to raise money for Cancer Research UK and will be held on Friday, December 8.
The Christmas coffee morning will start at 10am until 12pm at St Peter’s Parish Centre in Church Street, Darwen.
Residents across Blackburn with Darwen are welcome to the event which costs just £3.20 for entry and a drink and piece of cake.
Christine Lawton, one of the volunteers said: “It’s a nice event where people can come and meet some new friends and get to know other people in the community.
"There will be a Christmas raffle and stalls including one with lots of jigsaws that were donated to us.
“Our Christmas morning last year was great and people really enjoyed it so we’re hoping it will be the same again this year and be a boost for our charity funds.
Michelle Mitchell, chief executive of Cancer Research UK said: “Your support helps us fund world-class cancer research and long-term projects with huge potential to improve and save more lives. Thank you for bringing hope to everyone affected by cancer.”
