Residents have been sharing pictures of the snowfall across areas of East Lancashire over the weekend.
Preston and Darwen have turned into a winter wonderland with light snow falling overnight.
An icy night on Saturday (December 2) brought snow showers in parts of the region.
Early wintry showers were due through the morning of Sunday (December 3) then the rest of the day will be mainly dry and cloudy.
Manchester Airport released a statement stating they were doing their very best to clear the runway.
There is no more snow predicted for the weekend but the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice in the North West.
The day will turn somewhat brighter in places with sunny intervals but feeling cold despite the light winds.
The maximum temperature of the day will be 4 C.
Tonight will be mainly dry at first overnight with clear spells developing more widely.
A widespread sharp frost developing but turning less cold in the south with rain and hill snow arriving later.
The minimum temperature -2C.
Residents were urged to take extra care as they travelled around the borough as temperatures were forecast to reach a minimum of 1C.
