A Colne shop manager from has been shortlisted for an award and it is partly thanks to her team’s efforts on TikTok, where some videos have amassed millions of views.

Jade Fennessy, who manages The Perfume Shop at Colne’s Boundary Mill, has been shortlisted in the store hero category, at the Retail Week Awards.

This award recognises the UK’s standout store manager or team.

It is open to personnel from all stores, no matter the size of the shop or the business and celebrates a store manager or team, that has had a demonstrable impact on their customers, community or the broader company.

Judges look for details on excellent retail execution, inspirational leadership or teamwork, and evidence of customer and commercial gain.

Retail Week judges were impressed after hearing about Jade’s accomplishments in store, particularly surrounding her social media presence on video sharing app TikTok.

From videos about sales to stock takes and amazing secret stockroom sales, Jade and team have attracted a huge following on TikTok amassing more than 293,000 followers.

The videos have received more than 7.5 million likes and a number of videos have achieved more than one million views.

At the time of writing, the team’s most viral video has achieved more 118 million views. It shows a staff member expertly wrapping a gift.

Jade has been praised for ensuring her team are all trained and well informed so that they can all give the customers the best experience.

Jade, who has worked at the Colne store for more than four years, has led the team to have ‘customer love score’ of 93 per cent.

She recently won store manager of the year award at The Perfume Shop’s annual conference, after winning the runner up in award in 2022.
