It’s not that long ago that sights like this were pretty commonplace around East Lancashire.
Taken in 1987, this photo shows empty terraced homes at Lower Audley in Blackburn which were due for demolition.
Having provided solid family homes for decades, time had caught up with the properties and new housing developments were planned.
