A man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with a knife point robbery in Nelson on Thursday.
The court heard a man and a woman, both with their faces covered, entered Best Booze, Barker House Road.
A knife was brandished before the couple left the shop with £1,500 in cash which had been removed from the till.
Robert White, 38, of Carleton Street, Nelson, was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court where he will next appear on December 22.
Bilal Saeed, prosecuting, said the woman had not yet been arrested.
