A driver of a black BMW told police to 'just take the car' after he was stopped for a routine check.
The car was found with unsafe tyres in Preston this morning (Monday, November 27) after the front tyre found was showing cord.
The driver thought he should just get a verbal warning and was unwilling to change the tyre, so told police to "just take the car".
The traffic offence was reported and the car was recovered.
"Front tyre found showing cord.
"The driver thought he should just get a verbal warning.
"The driver unwilling to change the tyre and said to just take the car.
"Traffic offence report issued and car prohibited/recovered."
