A motorway slip road was closed for several hours after a road traffic collision near Nelson yesterday evening, Saturday.
Lancashire Police announced the junction 13 entry slip road, eastbound, towards the M65 had been closed at around 6.30pm.

The force said junctions 13 to 14 on the Reedyford Interchange was closed while officers dealt with a road traffic collision. It advised drivers to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police has since confirmed the closure was due to a minor injury road traffic collision with several vehicles involved. They said the incident was reported to police at around 6pm.

Police said the slip road reopened at around 11.30pm.
A spokesperson said: "Earlier on we made you aware of a closure on the M65 entry slip road, eastbound at junction 13 and junction 13-14.
This is now re-open, thank you for your patience."
