Accrington’s Christmas lights switch on is set to take place today (November 23) and a full list of road closures have been revealed.

The council says several roads will be closed, including Blackburn Road and St James Street, ahead of the festivities.

Junior Andre, the 18-year-old son of TV personalities Peter Andre and Katie Price, will headline the event.

Junior achieved success in 2022 with the release of his debut single ‘Slide’, which reached number one in the iTunes pop chart.

Now with more than one million social media followers, he recently released his second single ‘Only One’, which also hit number one on iTunes, and is among the songs he will perform at the Accrington event.
