A lane closure was in place on the M65 after a car went up in flames.
The road was closed on the M65 westbound between junction six and five near Blackburn around 5pm today (November 21).
Police and crews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene of the car fire.
There were delays of nearly an hour above normal travel time with three miles of congestion.
Everything is clear of live lane and all lanes have reopened on the #M65 westbound between J6 and J5 near #Blackburn.

National Highways North West said: “Lane 1 is closed on the #M65 westbound between J6 and J5 near #Blackburn due to a vehicle fire.
“Emergency services are on scene and dealing.
“There are 45 min delays above normal travel time with three miles of congestion on approach.”
All lanes reopened at 6.45pm with two miles of congestion following the incident.
