Two fire engines tackled a fire in Oswaldtwistle last night (November 8).

The fire service was called at around 10.23pm, to reports that an garage on Cornwall Avenue was alight.

The fire service was in attendance for 40 minutes.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 10.23pm on November 8, two fire engines from Blackburn attended an outbuilding fire on Cornwall Avenue, Oswaldtwistle.

“The fire involved a domestic garage. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for forty minutes.”
