Award-winning St Cuthbert’s Amateur Dramatic Society celebrates its 25th anniversary with a fabulous family pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, which opens on Tuesday

Meet Nurse Nelly, Muddles and Fairy Liquid as they try to overcome to evil Carabosse.

Lancashire Telegraph: Nurse Nelly and Mudles

A curse has been placed upon Princess Aurora which can only be ended with a kiss from her beloved. Come with the cast on a journey deep into the castle, from the market town of Darwen and be spooked in the forest.

Will the Prince find the Princess? Will this be her true love’s kiss? Will Nurse Nelly find her next husband? And will the band still be playing the right notes by the end of the week? Who knows!

The show has been written by Martyn Pugh, who also plays Nurse Nelly. He won the Best Dame Award in last year’s NODA Awards for the North West region.

Performances take place at St Cuthbert’s School, Darwen, from Tuesday until Saturday at 7.30pm plus a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.

There will also be a relaxed performance taking place on tomorrow (November 12). If this is something you would be interested in, please ring the box office for more information or on social media @darwenscads.
