Before you know it, it will soon be Christmas.
This great photo is from 1964 and was taken inside Blackburn’s Thwaites Arcade complete with festive lights.
The arcade must be one of the most lamented losses the town suffered as part of the regeneration of the town centre.
Opened in 1884, it connected Church Street and Lord Street and would be demolished in 1971.
