Back by popular demand after various sold-out shows, Manchester Sounds returns to East Lancashire this weekend with tributes to The Stone Roses and The Courteeners.
Rawtenstall entertainment venue St Mary’s Chambers will play host to the tribute acts, with support coming from local singer/songwriter Anthony Davies, who will be playing the songs of Oasis.
The Ultimate Stone Roses are the only tribute to The Roses to hail from Manchester. Each member is a die-hard fan of the original band who has dedicated themselves to mastering the music of their heroes.
Playing songs from the seminal first album, follow-up album, The Second Coming, and early fan favourites like Sally Cinnamon and Mersey Paradise, The Ultimate Stone Roses give their audiences the most authentic Stone Roses experience possible.
The Corteeners, a tribute to the Courteeners, tour relentlessly across the UK playing venues of every size. With a proven track record of musical excellence, their faithful renditions never fail to get fellow Courteeners fans ‘cavorting’ and feeling ‘nineteen forever’.
Local singer/songwriter Anthony Davies will be playing Oasis classic anthems to warm the crowd up and has a fiercely loyal following. He is also known to raise the roof with his energy and enthusiasm and will be playing all things Liam and Noel acoustically to get the night off to a great start.
Tickets for the show, on Friday November 3, are only £14 per person plus booking fees and can be purchased from www.stmaryslive.com
Doors open from 7pm and the show starts from 8pm. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the box office on 01706 223 222 or alternatively limited tickets will be available to be purchased on the door.
