Taken in 1971, this photo will bring back memories for former pupils of the old Blakey Moor High School.
The school, which opened in 1911 very unusual in its day in that it had a swimming baths in the basement where hundreds of youngsters learned to swim over the years right through to the 1990s.
The school would later become an annexe of Billinge High School before being taken over by Blackburn College where students could study a number of courses up to degree level.
