A group of youths were threatened and had two mobile phones stolen.
Some of the thieves then left in a taxi following the incident which happened at the Kick Pitch in Eastgate, Whitworth, last Thursday (October 26)
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery, including the driver of a white minibus taxi.
A spokesperson from Rossendale Police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses and information after a reported robbery that happened in Whitworth.
"We were called at around 6pm on October 26 to a report that a group of youths at the Kick Pitch just off Eastgate had been threatened and two mobile phones had been stolen.
"It was reported that some of the group then fled the scene in a white minibus taxi.
"We’re keen to speak to the driver of this taxi, who is a potential witness and could have information that could help with our investigation."
