A man has died after a horror crash in Colne on Tuesday, October 24.

The man, in his 60s, died after crashing into a wall on Skipton Old Road.

Police were called at 9.43am. Officers found that a Mitsubishi Outlander had left the carriageway and crashed.

The road was closed for several hours.

The driver was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are now appealing for information and dashcam footage.

A police spokesperson said: “A man has very sadly died after a road traffic collision in Colne.

“We were called at 9.43am yesterday (October 24) to Skipton Old Road, Colne, to a report of a collision.

“Our officers attended and found that a Mitsubishi Outlander vehicle had the left the carriageway and collided with a brick wall.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services and members of the public, the driver, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased in hospital.

“Our thoughts are very much with his family at this sad and distressing time.

“As part of our investigation, we are appealing for witnesses to the collision and anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam footage around the time.”
