A new tiny house building company based in Ribble Valley has completed its first prototype.

Charlotte and Max Stummer bought a piece of land close to their home in Dinckley to attract young professionals and hospitality business owners to view their tiny houses.

A tiny house typically measures between 100 and 400 square feet, with the design optimised for functionality and minimalist living.

Lancashire Telegraph: The Ribble Valley based tiny house building company have just completed their first prototypeCo-owner of 'KnowHaus', Charlotte, said: "We have created this prototype very much with the hospitality sector in mind, which is a key driver of business activity in the Ribble Valley.

"The tiny house perfectly aligns with the current trends of the hospitality sector, such as unique guest experience, digital nomads seeking unique workspaces, business leisure trips and hybrid hospitality.

"We are also seeing a number of hospitality businesses seeking to incorporate social impact into their business models, and the tiny house concept facilitates questions about the housing crisis and the needs to change the way we live."

Lancashire Telegraph: Their team of designers and craftsmen have combined knowledge and artistic flair to create unique and luxurious tiny houses.

Married couple Max and Charlotte came up with the idea through the pandemic and wanted to do something different.

They have both worked with online businesses for around 20 years, but wanted to do something more tangible and after throwing ideas around and researching, came up with the idea for their tiny house business.

Lancashire Telegraph: Charlotte continued: "The prototype we have built is high-end and aimed at the hospitality industry as it has a marble bathroom and sleek floors.

"We also want to do something with social impact and tiny houses do this through questioning how to live differently and more sustainably."

KnowHaus started building at the end of last year between August to December, with Max starting the build on his own.

The prototype was finished in July this year, and they are now looking for those that may be interested in future properties.
