A Lancashire police officer will face a misconduct hearing to answer to allegations of unwanted sexual conduct towards female colleagues.

PC Ford, whose collar number is 4210, is accused of engaging in unwanted sexualised conduct directed at female colleagues.

It is also alleged that such conduct included comments and physical contact, which was inappropriate, and as a result it is alleged that PC Ford's actions breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour.

As a result of the allegations, a public misconduct hearing will take place at Ormskirk police station between October 30 and November 10.

During the hearing, a panel, which includes legally qualified chair, Paul Forster; police panel member, Superintendent Justin Srivastava; and independent panel member, Sian Beard, will hear evidence against PC Ford and will need to make a decision as to whether the allegations are proved and therefore amount to misconduct.

If they find the Standards of Professional Behaviour have been breached and PC Ford is guilty of misconduct then he will face appropriate punishment, which could include losing his job.

A notice of the misconduct hearing reads: "It is alleged that PC Ford has engaged in unwanted sexualised conduct directed at female colleagues. It is alleged that such conduct included comments and physical contact, which was inappropriate.

"As such, it is alleged that PC Ford breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in the areas of Authority, Respect and Courtesy, Equality and Diversity and Discreditable Conduct."
