The owner of a static caravan park who had approval granted to site an additional six two-bed static park homes within the lawful park boundary has applied again to site a further six static homes on his land.

Mr Culligan of Prospect Farm Caravan Site, in Lenches Road, Colne, submitted plans to Pendle Council in April asking to expand the offering on the land, with the plans approved in summer.

The site currently has permission to host 26 residential park home units, following approval granted at committee on December 8, 2022.

That approval changed the use of the site to solely residential, confirming that the park is suitable for additional residential uses.

The site currently comprises 32 static homes, and if these plans are approved that will take the existing stock to 38.

No planning statement has been submitted with this most recent application, but it is believed plans are very similar to the ones submitted earlier in the year.

The site currently contains high quality caravans that make a positive contribution to the council’s residential housing mix.

Onsite aesthetics have recently been upgraded with the land now forming a well-maintained landscaped site, that offers residents a peaceful, well-connected, alternative to traditional housing.

The site has onsite management and a full-time gardener offering a differing type of accommodation to traditional housing stock in Colne.

Anyone wishing to comment on the plans has until November 1 to do so.
