Accrington’s Married at First Sight star has reportedly been axed from the show, after her partner reportedly got into a fight with another co-star.

Jay Howard is partnered with Essex salesman, Luke Worley, on the reality series that matches couples based on scientific and sociological factors.

According to a national newspaper, a show insider leaked the information and said Luke and fellow reality star Jordan Gayle got into a fight on the show.

As a result Luke was reportedly axed from the show. Jay’s time on the show also reportedly came to an end as a result.

The insider said: “The cast attend a couples' retreat and during dinner things got particularly heated between them and later they come to blows inside Jordan's apartment.

“Channel 4 bosses had no choice but eject Luke from the programme, which consequently ended his wife Jay's time in the process... as per the show's rules you enter as a couple and leave as a couple.”

The alleged fight was reportedly caught on camera, which means it could be shown on an upcoming episode.

When asked about the allegations and if Jay and Luke are set to leave the show, a Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed that “an altercation occurred between two cast members” did take place.

A Channel 4 Spokesperson said: “The wellbeing of cast and crew is our utmost priority at all times throughout production and beyond.

"During filming, an altercation occurred between two cast members which was defused immediately by crew. All contributors involved were offered appropriate support.”

Speaking to his 67,000 Instagram followers, Luke said he is “fuming” at the person/people spoiling future episodes.

He said: “I am fuming. I want to apologise to Married at First Sight viewers because we obviously have a snake, or snakes, in the cast.

“They feel the need to sell stories and give spoilers throughout the whole season. You must be desperate for a couple of quid.

“Everything has been ruined for [the viewers].

“As soon as I am allowed to talk about stuff and the show is over I will be posting everything on this Instagram… it’s going to be juicy.”

At the time of writing, Jay has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph Jay, a sales manager, said she signed up to the show to find the love of her life.

The 31-year-old said: “I wanted to find the potential love of my life. At first I just thought I would do it for the craic [sic] they won’t have me anyway but obviously they found me a match. I was buzzing.

“The wedding day was amazing and the best day of my life. I had such a good day but I was very nervous.

“I started to overthink it as there was so much going on, with hair, makeup and everything else.

“As soon as I got to the end of the aisle that is when it hit home.”
