A mobile massage company is helping stressed staff across East Lancashire switch off at work.

YOLO Wellbeing are a Preston-based workplace wellness business offering a unique therapy that combines head, neck, and shoulder massage with guided breathing.

On Thursday, October 12, Charlotte Knowles from Greenarc, gifted 20 East Lancashire Hospice staff with free wellbeing massages delivered by YOLO Wellbeing.

The YOLO Experience therapy is delivered in their customised mobile, sensory calm space that they bring to businesses premises aiming to deliver health and happiness into the workplace.

Leanne Green, head of fundraising at East Lancashire Hospice, said: “East Lancashire Hospice are invested in all its staff and volunteers wellbeing.

"We are aware of the impact COVID 19 had and the pressures that working in palliative and end of life care can bring.

“We want to build resilience and support both physical and mental health, to enable our staff and volunteers to be the best they can be and to continue to deliver the best care to our patients.

Greenarc generously donated a full day of massages. This meant that 20 staff had time out from their role to be able to switch off and enjoy the YOLO experience.”

In May, Greenarc acquired Lancashire based electrical business Elektec and is continuing its services to the community.

Charlotte Knowles, sustainability and social responsibility director at Greenarc, said: “Elektec has always been passionate about giving back to the community and now that we have been acquired by Greenarc, I am thrilled that they hold the same values, and we can continue making a positive difference.

“The East Lancashire Hospice staff work tirelessly to look after those in need, so it was our pleasure to gift the staff with a wellbeing massage.

"We have worked with YOLO Wellbeing before and knew the quality and service they provide would be a perfect fit for the Hospice”.

The managing director of YOLO Wellbeing, Cheryle Britton, added: “It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to support Charlotte and Greenarc in recognising the wonderful work of the team at East Lancashire Hospice, by delivering the YOLO Experience to their staff.

"The feedback from everyone who has participated has been incredible.”
