This is the view you would have got if you were on Church Street in Blackburn around 1913.
On the right on the corner of Victoria Street is Beaty Brothers’ outfitters which would later become the site of Yates’ Wine Lodge.
A set of tram lines runs down the middle of the road. Note the lack of any cars which would have been a rarity in the pre-war years.
