Big Brother came back with a bang on Sunday night (October 8) and Blackburn host AJ Odudu came dressed to impress.

AJ wowed viewers after spending hours preparing her daring look, which was a blue, skintight, latex catsuit and a simple pair of heels.

She also wore a custom made wig that was 60 inches long and went down to her knees.

On her Instagram page she said the look took hours to complete.

At around 5pm she said: “I am getting all glammed up during the day and we don’t go live until (9pm) but that’s how much effort I am putting into this just for you.

“I am so excited and Will Best (Big Brother co-host) is excited too. He is getting in the zone. I can’t wait to meet all of the housemates.

“The hair is laid, the outfit is clinging to the body, the less is more choice of accessories, the makeup is blended. I love it when TV hosts deliver.”

AJ’s outfit was a talking point of the show with many taking to social media to discuss it.

One person said: “Great opening show, AJ. You looked stunning in that suit.”

“You are even more sensational in the latex outfit,” said another.

Another said: “Fabulous latex catsuit. You look amazing as always.”

“Good job this series of Big Brother   lasts six weeks because that's how long it's going to take AJ to get out of that catsuit,” joked another.

Another said: “She is an absolute stunner! How she poured herself into that outfit beggars belief. So glad she's doing well on TV.”

Another viewer asked: “Anyone else [wondering] how AJ Odudu is going to go for a wee?”

Others praised AJ on her Big Brother presenting debut.

One said: “What a debut AJ. You [and Will] both did a great job. I loved that the two of you got to welcome the housemates, and also that the car to entrance door was fast.

“I hope the reboot means fans will focus on supporting their favourites so every housemate is given a chance to be new era Big Brother legends.”

Another said: “AJ is by far the biggest reason to watch Big Brother.”

A barman, make-up artist, butcher and youth worker are some of the contestants who entered the famous house on Sunday.

The influential social experiment, which sees housemates live together in a custom-built home for weeks without access to the outside world in a bid to win £100,000, has opened its doors for the first time in five years.

The reality series returned to ITV on Sunday, after it was axed by Channel 5 amid a ratings slump in 2018.

Jenkin, 25, from Bridgend in Wales, who described himself as a barman, cleaner and bingo-caller and will “bring the drama”, was the first contestant to enter the new house.

He was closely followed by 50-year-old “proud Muslim” and make-up artist Farida and butcher Tom, 21, from Somerset, who said he was “funny and outgoing”.

Meanwhile, the youngest contestant to enter the Big Brother house was 18-year-old youth worker Hallie, who has never lived away from home before.

Big Brother started in 2000 on Channel 4 before Channel 5 took over in 2011, airing in the UK for a total of 18 years.

Ahead of the launch show, Odudu and Best asked fans of the show to be kind online, posting a video to the official Big Brother Instagram sending a reminder that the “housemates are real people with their real lives”.

AJ added: “Let’s make this the most positive series yet and give all of the housemates the respect that you would wish for if you were a housemate too. Is that a deal?”

Similar to recent series of ITV’s Love Island, housemates and their family and friends have also been asked to not post any content about the show on their individual social media accounts while they are in the house.

It comes as broadcasters’ duty of care policies have faced scrutiny following a number of controversies involving on-screen talent.

While the new batch of housemates have received respect and inclusion training to set out the “expectation for appropriate behaviour and language” before they take part in the show, ITV previously said.

Big Brother will air nightly on ITV2 and ITVX, excluding Saturdays.
