Excitement is building ahead of the return of a music and entertainment festival in a Lancashire town.

Chorley Live will see nearly 300 appearances from a host of talented musicians and entertainers across 35 venues in Chorley town centre.

Pubs, cafes, bars, libraries, and the town hall will be packed with crowds across the weekend of Friday October 6 and Saturday 7.

With 12,000 people attending last year, council leader Alistair Bradley is hoping to match that success.

He said: “I am so pleased we get to bring Chorley Live back to the town centre for another year.

“I encourage everyone to come along and support the local economy whilst enjoying local music and entertainment in the community.

“We hope this year’s event will be just as successful as previous.”

Wristbands are on sale now at just £5 (under-12s go free) which gives access to every venue all weekend. They can be purchased from Chorley Council’s Union Street offices, Malcom’s Musicland, Astley Hall gift shop, and all participating venues.

More information and a full list of venues and performances can be found on the festival’s website.

Organised by Chorley Council in partnership with the Creative Network, the event returns this year after recently being nominated for ‘Best Small Event’ at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.
