A number of roadworks are taking place across Blackburn with Darwen from this week with either road closures or two-way/multi-way signals being put in place.
Blackburn with Darwen Council is asking people to please bear in mind that these are planned roadworks only for which permit applications to carry out works have been received, and do not include any deemed urgent or emergency works.
A spokesperson for the council’s roads department said: “Due to lead-in periods for minor works, there may be additional works not on this list which start next week.
“The lead-in period for minor works (up to three days duration) is three working days, so for example, a Utility Company wanting to start work on Thursday next week would apply on Monday.

“The one.network map is updated in real-time to show both planned and emergency works with several layers to supplement it, such as live traffic data.
“It’s an extremely useful tool to check daily as part of your journey planning to help avoid potential delays.”
