Mountain rescue team members have thanked fundraisers after receiving a £20,000 donation.
The Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team was one of five charities to be directly supported by Mayor of Burnley, Cllr Cosima Townley last year.
They received the donation at a special presentation at the town hall.
An RPMRT spokesperson said: “It was fantastic to see the Mayor and her amazing team at numerous events throughout the year and also to hear of all the other bits they got up to.
“We were both amazed and delighted to receive a staggering £20,000 which will go towards securing the purchase of a new response vehicle.
“Thank you so much and as ever, we can only keep doing what we do with your support! This will make a huge difference to the team.”
