Morecambe Netflix star and author Paris Fury says she has “hired bodyguards” following the success of Netflix series At Home with the Furys.

Paris, wife of world heavyweight champion boxer Tyson Fury, said she often “worries about her children being kidnapped”.

Speaking to a national newspaper Paris said the couple are yet to decide whether they will take part in season two due to safety concerns regarding the children.

She said: “I would never say never.

“We are both very busy at the minute. Tyson was retired when we first started the show and now he’s back in full-time boxing.

“We all enjoyed it. We’ve been offered the second season and we’re on the fence about it.

"We’re taking into account at the moment that it’s made the kids famous. Often, we have to employ bodyguards if we’re together in public.

"I frequently worry about them being kidnapped. Do we want to go down that route, because how can you live a normal life if you have a bodyguard?”

Paris said eldest daughter Venezuela, 13, was “embarrassed” to have a security guard with her at the races earlier this month.

The mum-of-seven said: “Venezuela is starting to go places by herself. She went to the races last week and had a security team. She was asking why she had a bodyguard, as she found it embarrassing.

"I understand, but every person was pointing her out, saying: ‘There’s Tyson Fury’s daughter.’ There’s been tension around the house the last couple of weeks.

"It is hard for them, because they have got to learn to live in a world where they’re not blended in or normal.

"It is a bit unfair, but then there are a lot of worse things that could be happening. They are blessed in other ways.”

Earlier this month the family revealed that they may be forced to move out of their Morecambe home if fans turn up at their door.

The Netflix show aired in August and documents the life of Tyson and his family.

The show offers us another perspective on the world heavyweight champion.

We see him stripped of ring and gloves, in vastly different settings: namely a spacious mansion in the seaside town of Morecambe, surrounded by his children, Paris, and a motley crew of family members including his dad, John, his younger brother Tommy and partner Molly-Mae Hague, who both appeared on Love Island.

Paris gave birth to her seventh child on September 18.  The couple said the baby boy arrived at 2.29am weighing 6lb 13oz.

Posting to Instagram the 33-year-old said: “Can’t believe he’s here”.

Tyson said: “He’s here and he’s perfect.”

Earlier this year Tyson announced a clash against mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou in a boxing contest on October 28 in Saudi Arabia – but the Briton’s WBC heavyweight title will not be at stake.

Fury most recently fought last December, stopping compatriot Derek Chisora inside 10 rounds, but talks over an undisputed world title showdown against Oleksandr Usyk bitterly broke down earlier this year.
