An off-road vehicle has been seized after it caused deliberate destruction to a nature area.
Police seized the Jeep Cherokee at Rivington Pike yesterday afternoon (September 20).
The hill is part of the West Pennine Moors, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) covering 76 square kilometres between Chorley, Blackburn, Bolton, and Haslingden.
The Jeep was stopped from defacing the area and displaying anti-social behaviour.
A police spokesperson said: "Another off-road vehicle seized at Rivington. Protecting the SSSI and this beautiful countryside from wanton destruction and anti-social behaviour."
