A section of the northbound carriageway on the M6 will be closed due to essential maintenance work.
The carriageway will be shut from 8pm (Sunday) to 6am (Monday) between junctions 32 and 33 to work on Stewart's Wood Bridge.
Drivers are asked to plan their journey accordingly.
There will be also be lane closures eastbound on the M55 between junctions 3 and 1.
North West Highways said: “A short section of the M6, which passes over Stewart's Wood bridge, needs waterproofing and resurfacing to ensure journeys remain safe and reliable.
“Work will start on Sunday 3 September 2023 and is scheduled to complete by the end of October 2023.
“Our essential repair work will require the closure of two lanes of northbound traffic on the M6 during the day, and three lanes overnight, between 8pm and 6am.
“These measures will ensure the continued safety of road users and our staff during the work. The lanes that remain in use will be narrower than usual and subject to a 50mph speed limit which is reduced to 40mph whilst driving through the working area.”
