A road closure is in place after a crash took place in Horwich this evening.
At around 8.30pm tonight (August 29), police announced that Bolton Road in Horwich has been closed as a result of a crash.
The closure is in place from Anderton Ford bridge to Anderton Manor Farm and traffic updates website, INRIX shows there is very slow moving traffic in the area.
It is unclear how many vehicles are involved in the crash or whether anyone is injured.
Police have been approached for more information.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We currently have a road closure in place, following a road traffic collision.
“The closure is in place on Bolton Road, Horwich. The closure is in place from Anderton Ford bridge to Anderton Manor Farm.
“Please choose alternative routes when travelling this evening, Thank you.”
