Organisers of the Burnley Canal Festival are promising a fun-filled day for all the family.
The festival takes place at the refurbished Finsley Gate Wharf and along the towpath nearby between 11am and 5pm on Sunday, August 27.
Workshops will allow visitors to try their hand at paper flower making, postcard printing, screen-printing and monster making.
Children can get their faces painted or choose a henna art (mehndi) design for free.
Families can take part in the 'Ragtag Roadshow', a pop-up scrapstore, studio and stage which invites people of all ages to reuse, create and play.
The live ‘walkabout’ performances, include the 'amazing' bubble man (Paris Bubbles), Mother Nature and the giant sloth family. More live music will feature Bollywood, jazz and indie folk rock.
Visitors will to get the chance to travel on the water with a free narrow boat ride and canoe taster sessions.
The Makers Market, will feature unique works of art and crafts, plus artisan foodstuffs made by the people selling them.
The food court (behind the main building) will see a range of stalls selling loaded fries, authentic Indian street food, hot drinks, ice-creams and a huge variety of alcoholic and soft drinks.
