An Emmerdale star has donated two unique photos from the soap set to a Burnley charity to be sold at an upcoming fundraising event.

Samantha Giles, who plays Bernice Blackstock on the Yorkshire-based drama, visited Depher and gifted two exclusive pictures.

They will go on auction alongside a host of other prizes as part of a fundraising ball being held at Turf Moor next month to support the charity's work.

Depher provides free plumbing and heating services to those in financial need, and was founded in 2017 by James Anderson.

Mr Anderson said: "We have kept in contact and she has supported me since Pride of Britian, and she loves what we do.

"She is amazed by what we do around the UK and loves our work.

"The pictures are unique and one of a kind, including one of the full cast that you won't find anywhere else in the world.

"She spent half an hour with us at the shop this week and found out more about what we do in depth.

"We've become really good friends through the work we do and it's very humbling."

Lancashire Telegraph:

Samantha presented Mr Anderson with a Pride of Britain award last year, and will be attending the ball with other celebrities at the home of Burnley FC on Wednesday, September 30.

Mr Anderson added: "This is the first fundraiser we've organised ourselves, and we have invited many stars including Hugh Grant, Nick Knowles, Anne Hegerty and Burnley mayor Cllr Raja Arif Khan.

"There will be a very well known DJ there and a well known singer that will be a surprise even to me. There's going to be all kinds of things going on, food, lights and balloons.

"It's going to be a really good night with a lot of auction items to raise funds, and we are also looking to invite the people who we have helped over the years."

Depher will be auctioning 10 tickets for the night, so the general public can also attend.

The pictures will shortly be listed online and on Facebook for auction, alongside a Play Station 5, XBOX, and a football shirt signed by Steven Gerrard, and many more luxury items.
