Pupils from a Blackburn school have hosted their very own Arts festival.
The students from St Mary and St Joseph's Primary School, in Bennington Street, had been inspired by the annual Festival of Making held in the town.
All pupils across school took part in a week of arts activities and were taught be a range of artists including Ursula Hirst who held a felt making workshop based on her book Drawing Hope, DJ workshops.
Dominique Boyle hosted a carnival music and movement class whilst Aardman Studios organised an animation through a virtual session.
The school is heavily involved in the British textile Biennial and have been growing flax on their field for the past two years as part of the Super Slow Way Project.
The children have been learning techniques in sewing and natural dying to create a commemorative piece of artwork to celebrate their involvement in the project.
A school spokesperson said: "We were also joined by many of the craftspeople from Super Slow Way who supported our pupils in utilising our willow to create decorative hearts and bird feeders.
"The whole week culminated in a community celebration of the arts where we were joined by many of our families who loved watching the children performing their new skills and taking in part in crafts and arts to learn some new skills of their own."
