Six men are to stand trial in connection with a heroin and cocaine conspiracy.
The investigation, headed by the police's East Exploitation Team, looked into the supply of heroin and crack cocaine between Accrington and Manchester from September of last year to June this year.
As part of their enquiries, officers found heroin, cash, mobile phones and drugs paraphernalia.
In June, seven men were charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine and they all appeared at Preston Crown Court earlier this week for a plea hearing.
Six of the men pleaded not guilty to both charges.
They are:
- Phillip Rhodes, 47, of Cross Street, Accrington.
- Hasnain Ashraf, 32, of Frederick Street, Accrington.
- Aston Johnson, 19, of Brear Vale, Oswaldtwistle.
- Lewis Lord, 21, of South Square, Blackpool.
- Sameer Amin, 29, of Hovey Close, Manchester. Also pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of a cannabis.
- Lloyd Spencer, 39, of Hawkshead Road, Manchester.
A trial date of April 8 2024 has now been set with proceedings expected to take between four and six weeks.
One of the men, Paul Moxham, 49, of Whalley Road, Altham West, pleaded guilty to both conspiracy to supply heroin and crack cocaine and will be sentenced at the conclusion of the trial.
Rhodes, Johnson and Moxham were bailed conditionally.
The other four were remanded into custody.
Police are still hunting another man, Joseph Oakes, 22, from Accrington, who they need to speak to as part of their enquiries.
He has links to Accrington and Preston.
