A Blackburn mosque is hosting a family fun day to help raise funds to improve funeral facilities.
Masjid E Saliheen, which is based off Disbury Street hope to then offer the facilities to the community to use at no cost.
The mosque said it has already raised £56,000 for the project which helped it fix a leaking roof as well as install a stainless steel wash table and a preparation table to shroud the deceased.
A mosque spokesperson said: "The remaining 35% will go towards the creation of new beams and supporting columns, new doors and windows as well as all plumbing and electrical work.
"In an effort to raise the remaining funds pay for the equipment and work, the mosque will be hosting its third annual family fun day dubbed 'Saliheen's Global Kitchen'."
The event which will take place on Sunday 23 from July 11-6pm on the mosque grounds.
A range of stalls will offer cuisines from around the world including India, Pakistan, Tanzania, South Africa, Morocco and China.
The mosque spokesperson added: "The event will also feature free children's activities such as a bouncy castle, inflatable football and basketball and a rodeo bull.
"Children will also be able to get their face painted, decorate their own cakes and doughnuts and take part in sports activities for free."
