The AA has announced the winners of their annual B&B awards, revealing the ultimate bed and breakfast establishments across the country and two in Lancashire have been recognised.

In its 27th year, the AA B&B Awards saw a team of AA inspectors carefully select the best-of-the-best in the UK's B&B scene.

Categories such as "Friendliest B&B of the Year," "Inn of the Year," and "Breakfast of the Year" were used to determine the winners.

This year's victors are spread across the entire UK, from The Fylde International in Blackpool to The Crusoe in Fife, and Parc-Le-Breos House near Swansea.

The Fylde International in Blackpool has been named the Friendliest B&B Of The Year at the AA Awards 2023.

The Awards said: “The Flyde is family-run and close to all Blackpool's attractions. A spacious lounge and a separate dedicated children's area ensure all guests can enjoy their stay. A substantial buffet breakfast is served and private parking is available.”

Owners Vicky and Kate Easley, said: “To say we are shocked is an understatement. We are very proud and humbled to have won the award.

“After owning and Managing The Fylde International Blackpool for the past 18 years this is an incredible achievement.

“Our customers are the forefront of our business, and we aim to provide them with excellent customer service, quality and clean accommodation and a homely atmosphere."

It has also been praised on Tripadvisor where it has received a rating of 5 out of 5 from 426 reviews.

One reviewer said: “Great room, great breakfast and lovely host.
“Added bonus of parking.
“The room we stayed in was very nice and very clean and comfortable.
“The host was very friendly and made us welcome right from the start.
“I would highly recommend this lovely hotel .”

Blackpool B&B named among top 15 friendliest B&Bs for 2023

Another B&B in Blackpool was also recognised in the AA Awards 2023.

Bianca Guesthouse was named in the top 15 friendliest B&Bs for 2023 and was praised for its location and accommodation.

The Awards said: “A warm Blackpool welcome awaits everyone at the Bianca Guesthouse, situated centrally, and within easy walking distance of all the town's attractions and amenities.

“The homely accommodation is decorated with modern floral prints; family rooms are available, as well as a range of cosy doubles fitted with impressively comfortable beds. There is a licensed bar for residents.”

This B&B has also been praised on Tripadvisor, earning a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 121 reviews.

One reviewer wrote: “Best bed and breakfast in Blackpool , rooms are absolutely spotless, the hosts are great friendly people, the breakfast is beautiful, you have tried the rest now try the best and you will want to come back again and again .”
