Food hygiene inspectors have rated 16 eateries in Blackburn with Darwen in the latest round of inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated 13 eateries a rating of five out of five, one eatery a four out of five, one eatery a three out of five and one eatery a two out of five.

The eatery’s awarded a five rating are:

The Willows, at Haslingden Road, Blackburn was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 28.

The inspection report states the management of food safety is very good whilst the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good.

Jabir's Ranch, at 25 Devonport Road, Blackburn was also given a score of five on June 22.

The inspection report states the eatery is good in all areas.

Checks and Greys at Cafe Northcote, Cathedral Square, Blackburn; rated on June 7.

Sudell Sandwiches at 8 Sudell Cross, Blackburn; rated on June 7.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are very good whilst the management of food safety is good.

GROKE BRGR at 352 Whalley Range, Blackburn; rated on June 7 and Courtyard Cafe at Blackburn College, Feilden Street, Blackburn; rated on June 6 also received a five out of five.

The inspection reports for both eateries states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are very good whilst the management of food safety is good.

McDonalds Restaurant at Burnley Road, Blackburn; rated a five after inspection on June 6 was rated very good in all areas.

Orlando's Restaurant at Training 2000 Ltd, Castle Street, Blackburn; rated on June 6, the inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is good.

Pizza Hut at Pizza Hut Restaurant, Mayson Street, Blackburn and Costa Coffee at Blackburn Services M65, Commercial Road, Darwen, were both rated a five after inspection on June 2 and June 1.

Both eateries have also been rated very good in all areas.

Rafiki at 61 Whalley New Road, Blackburn; was rated a five on June 1.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good whilst both the management of food safety and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are good.

Dunelm Soft Furnishings Ltd Cafe Pausa at Dunelm, Lower Audley Street, Blackburn; was also rated on May 31.

Finally, Rose and Crown at 41 Bury Road, Edgworth, was rated a five after inspection on May 11.

Hare And Hounds Hotel, a pub, bar or nightclub at 78 Lammack Road, Blackburn was given the score of four after assessment on May 30, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

Q Lounge at St Peter Street, Blackburn, was rated a three after inspection on March 7 and inspectors stated it is generally satisfactory in all areas.

Finally, 16th Street at 216 Shear Brow, Blackburn, was rated a two out of five after inspection on May 16.
