Two Lancashire venues have been named as the best place to go for a spa day, after winning awards on Monday (July 3).
Stanley House Hotel and Spa, in Mellor, and The Woodland Spa, in Burnley, came home victorious from The Good Spa Guide awards 2023, which celebrates excellence within the UK spa industry.
Ribby Hall Village’s Spa Hotel, in Preston, also won an award for best spa day.
Stanley House was named best boutique spa with award organisers praising its rural beauty and contemporary interiors.
A spokesperson said: “Located in Lancashire's picturesque Ribble Valley, Stanley House Hotel and Spa is a luxury boutique hotel and spa offering a serene escape.
“The spa reflects the elegance of natural rural beauty, with peaceful views over undulating hills from every aspect.

"Individual and couple spaces for treatments, and a thermal bathing suite with a deeply soothing hydrotherapy massage pool help to bring the outside in.
“The hotel features luxurious accommodation spilt between the 17th century manor house and the ‘woodlands wing’.”
Courtney Harrison, spa director at The Spa at Stanley House, expressed her delight at receiving this recognition.

Award organisers said The Woodland Spa has a sense of intimacy and peace.
A spokesperson said: “The spa’s thermal experience journey includes a range of heat rooms, plus a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor infinity pool and a tranquil serenity pool in a low lit relaxation space.
“The treatment menu includes face and body therapies from Decléor and Neom, with manicure and pedicures OPI.
“The award winning restaurant, with its killer views, is located above the spa.”
A spokesperson for The Woodland Spa said: “We're thrilled to announce that The Woodland Spa has been awarded Good Spa Guide's Best UK Hotel Spa 2023.
