A series of events are being held in Blackburn to mark Armed Forces Week.
The Royal British Legion (RBL) Blackburn organised a ‘flag raising’ ceremony on Monday.
The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Councillor Parwaiz Akhtar, was joined by council dignitaries, RBL Blackburn Branch members, CCF cadets, Sea cadets, Reserves from Somme Barracks and members of the public at the ceremony.
Today (Thursday, June 22) until 3pm the group will be at Royal Blackburn Hospital outside the main entrance.
On Saturday the Royal British Legion will be outside Blackburn Town Hall with a promotional stall offering advice and poppy appeal goodies.
Everyone is welcome and being encouraged to meet the volunteers.
