A person is in custody after being spotted driving a stolen vehicle.

Blackburn police spotted the vehicle driving cross country. The driver did not notice officers, who were carrying out a vehicle check.

It was discovered that the motorbike was stolen. 

A person remains in custody at Blackburn's Greenbank station and the vehicle is set to be returned to its rightful owner.

A police spokesperson said: “Good evening from Blackburn Neighbourhood Team!

"Officers’ attention was drawn when the driver of this vehicle decided to go cross country.

“A surprise appearance by officers who went unnoticed, allowed for quick checks to be made which established this motor was stolen.

“One is currently residing in Greenbank Custody and the owner will be reunited with their wheels imminently.”
