A minute’s applause will be held during the 27th minute of the Blackburn Rovers game with Luton Town today in memory of Elliott Simpson.
Rovers fan, Elliott died aged 27 on Friday (April 28) after a cancer battle.
Elliott was diagnosed with stage four malignant melanoma – an aggressive skin cancer, at the end of 2020 and his family and loved ones were fundraising for treatment.
Elliott was a life long Rovers supporter and attended every game he could so a minute’s applause will be held in the 27th minute of the match at Ewood Park today (May 1).

“You’ll struggle to find a kinder, more caring and more genuine guy. The way he battled was so inspirational and he will truly be missed by all.
