VILLAGE police have suggested boundaries for a no alcohol' zone which could be enforced.
Officers have told Worsthorne residents they want a boundary between Salterford Lane, Extwistle Lane, Hurstwood Lane and Brownside Road.
Villagers and officers teamed up to try and bring in no drinking zones after complaints youths from Worsthorne and further afield were causing alcohol-fuelled trouble.
More than 180 incidents have been logged of youths drinking in the streets since January 1 2004.
Police and councillors say no alcohol zones have proved a success when enforced in other parts of the borough.
