THIRTY jobs have been axed after a carpet manufacturer was placed into administration.
Around half the workforce at Stalwart Commission Carpets, Primrose Works, Clitheroe, were made redundant when the company called in administrators Kroll on June 12.
Kroll confirmed the job losses and said the employees had been issued with forms in order to apply for redundancy settlements.
A Kroll spokesman said: "The company will continue to trade at the moment and are looking for a buyer of the business.
"The reason for the company being placed into administration are currently under investigation."
There are still approximately 30 staff working at the company.
No-one from Stalwart was available for comment.
