A DARWEN teenager won the Lancashire Learner of the Year award for Further Education at this year's North West Learner Awards.
Elizabeth Ritchie, 16, from Darwen, is a first year National Diploma student in animal care at Myerscough College, and studies at the Witton Park Centre in Blackburn.
She was nominated by her tutor Joanne Stevenson and won the award along with a cup, a certificate and £250.
